We're going to be meeting with officiants when we visit home in a week or so and need to decide whether to include a rehearsal in our contract. It costs extra to have one.
Our venue does not guarantee us a rehearsal the night before the wedding unless they do not have an event that night. Since most of our bridal party is coming from a distance we would not be able to schedule one for earlier in the week.
We will have the venue the whole day of the wedding so we could easily show our bridal party where to walk in. Our ceremony will be very simple and won't involve any special readings or coordination.
I'm thinking we don't really need one but wanted some opinions from people with experience. Did you have a rehearsal for a simple ceremony and realize it wasn't necessary? Or not have one and wish you had?
