Plus one?

What do you do when a guest adds a plus one on their response card and they weren't invited with a plus one?

    Is the person you invited married, engaged, or in a relationship?  If so, their significant other should have been invited.

    If the person is truly single, then you will just need to call them and explain that you did not intend for them to have a plus one and that you are very sorry but you cannot accommodate extra guests.

    ditto PPs.  Definitely find out if the person they wrote in is a BF/GF/FI you were unaware of, b/c if so they should be included.  But a random add-on doesn't have to be.

    Although when the time came I felt like the "you weren't invited with a guest" phone call was just too weird to me, and we'd had several declines so I just let it go...
