Too much wedding stuff

There are far too many wedding questions on here.  So!  Tell me about your day.  Did you do anything fun and spectacular?

Re: Too much wedding stuff

  • Unfortunately, no.

I cleaned a little and did some laundry. We're going over to my parents' house to swim soon. Also FI is going to help my step dad put together a new tv stand.

I'm also bummed b/c tomorrow is Monday and I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. The weekend went by too quick, as usual.

  • I just started season 4 of Weeds.  H went for a bike ride with some of the neighbors, and I'm sitting around being lazy.  It's quite fantastic, actually.  I love lazy Sundays.

  • Dog park, dog baths, dog laundry, followed by an unwelcome indoor sprinkling of dog pee. All over the clean dog and his clean laundry.

I'd almost rather talk about weddings.
On bed rest since Groundhog's Day and every day since has been exactly the same.

  • Poor TJ! I hate when dogs find creative ways to dirty themselves after you spend the time cleaning them.

I am online dress shopping because Rick is out of town, and I am too lazy to move off the couch.

Its been a very exciting day here... lol.

  • I went to an open house that got cancelled at the last minute. Of course I didn't find out until after I had gotten there :(

I poked around the yard and exterior though, so it wasn't a total waste of my time.

  • It's been dull so far, but I'm about to leave for a friend's birthday party. We're having tea at some swank hotel downtown, and I'm looking very Jackie O right now.
  • Chef, I need to do laundry too, but... yeah. I did a load this morning, but that's as far as I want to take it. haha

Teej, I'm sorry about the doggies.  I saw the BIGGEST Newfie ever Friday night-- she was 70 kilos and soooo hot.  Poor thing.  Her winter fur never came off, and it was in the 70's the other night.  She was just panting and panting and had the sweeeeeetest face ever!

I finally managed to get a phone today! WOO!  It was such a PITA.  Actually, H had to get it in his name because I don't have my Swedish identity card, and I don't have a job so... yea.  It was really tough.
  • I think dealing with phone companies in general is a PITA.

I need to start figuring out what/if I want to cook tonight and I just really have no ideas. I also need to do laundry, and I have no desire to do so.

  • We spent the morning at the casino with DH's uncle.  It was pretty awesome--we gorged ourself at the brunch buffet, then his uncle gave me a few hundo and sat me down at his aunt's favorite Sex and the City slot machine with strict instructions only to do the max bet, because that's what Melinda (DH's aunt) would have done.  I lost it all, but we had a hell of a time!

  • It's more the Swedish beauracracy than anything.  We need to have our Swedish ID card, not just the paper.  We need to have ABC and GHI and Z.  All in that order.
  • I've just been super lazy so far.  I was out late with the girls last night so I slept in late today.  J tried to wake me up at one point, but that failed on his part when he got back in to bed with me and napped til I woke up.  Shortly I'll have to start doing laundry which I am not looking forward to at all.

This sounds like so much fun. What a great way to remember her--by thinking back to the fun times!

Amoro, I can't even imagine how much of a PITA getting all of that in order is.

Brie- that sounds like a fun morning. (This was DH's uncle that just lost his wife, correct?) I always lose at the casino, but I love playing slot machines.

  • Definitely, opal.  Her eulogy talked about how the last time they went to the casino together, she played this machine and just kept winning and winning, even though it was a super-girly, just for fun, sucks all your money kind of machine.  I felt kind of bad because I, uh, didn't win, but we had fun anyway.

I hope when I'm gone people do fun stuff in my memory!

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm glad DH's uncle had a chance to remember her like that. How long we're they married Brie?

  • Heh, and now DH gave me carte blanche to use our Macy's registry rewards on whatever I want.  We don't really need anything for our house anymore, so I'm thinking it's new purse time!

  • FI, daughter and I went to Lowe's and picked up a new toilet seat.  Then we went to brunch at our fav Mexican place.  Had a bacon, egg and cheese burrito with fried potatoes and refried beans.  Yummy!

I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. Today I went to look at a condo building DH and I have been eyeing.

There were 2 almost identical ones in the same building, except one had a small den, and the other one didn't. The price difference? $130,000 for the one with the den. Is that just me or does anyone else find that bizarre?
