Re: What's the knot for you?

  • It helps me be lazy, but I have learned a lot in the process. And I like being able to talk about hte wedding without burning out my friends.

  • #3...I came here because I was clueless about weddings and liked the people so I stayed.

  • #3 - for the "company."  I work from home and live in a non-English speaking country.
  • I originally came here for wedding ideas.

Now I return for drama/ craziness.

  • I picked the last one, I'm here mainly because I get bored at work. My wedding posts rarely get answered, so I just gave up and read the entertainment, contribute, whatever. But basically I'm bored.

  • I, too, appreciate the sounding board for wedding ideas, but I like the convo & friends best.

You have no idea how relieved I am that there are some Boston area knotties on here.  That way, I can "know" a couple of people when we move.

  • As someone who never had any wedding aspirations, the knot has been great for ideas. The ladies here are also fun to talk to. It's interesting to hear the different points of view.

  • It's mostly #1, but I really do enjoy reading a lot of the NWR posts as well. It's a good time killer.

  • I most definitely picked the old man one.

I started coming here originally for wedding related advice, but I never actually asked any.  After reading about 3 WR posts, I remembered how much I hated weddings, but really liked a lot of the posters so I stuck around.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • There really should be a "Because I'm a college student and I have homework to be doing"  option.  Because that would be my first choice.  After that, I'm getting married and love the vast amounts of knowledge and ideas I can get from others!

  • I'm #3.  Came here for the advice, stayed for the entertainment.  I suppose I should get back to planning that wedding, though....
  • I come for the questions.  Sometimes I have the answers, sometimes I just lurk, because I know I'm going to be asking (or someone will ask me) a similar one.  It keeps me put-together.
