Harry Potter movie news!

So I don't know if this is old news or what, but I heard on the radio this morning where they are splitting the last book into 2 movies. The first movie will end after Chapter 24, where the find the Elder Wand.

I was wondering where it would split and I'm rereading the book right now. This spot makes perfect since. So I just thought I'd share for anyone who was curious.



Added for clarification: We all knew there were 2 movies for the last book. Ths thread is announcing where the split will happen in the story line.

Yep, the first part comes out sometime in November....

I have reread from the beginning of the series. I'm on the last book now. I'm a nerd.

I decided my Sunday is going to consist of rereading the series, so I'll be starting on book 1.  I can't wait.  I was so excited the first time through that I'm sure I missed a lot.  Especially in the final bood.

Once I get over the heartbreak of it all being over next July, I'm going to reread them all from the beginning and watch all the movies marathon-style. I'll probably get the DVD box set next Christmas. You KNOW they'll have one.

I knew about the two movies, and I thought that I'd heard that the second half comes out in January. 

You're not a nerd.  I reread them all last year as well.  Maybe a third reading will be in order soon.

I knew about the 2 movies way back when, but not where the split was going to happen.

The second half comes out next July.

You're right, but 8 months between the two seems a bit much.  Maybe Part I will come out on DVD in those 8 months.

I knew about the split, but not exactly where it was going to be. I've started rereading them, too. I was a bit heartbroken that its finally coming to a close in July but very excited to finally see how the movies are going to turn out.

Stacks, when I re-read DH, I honestly forgot all the details (except all the horrific deaths ::tear::) and it was like re-reading it for the first time!

I LOVE Harry Potter!  I can't wait for the movies.  Will be SO sad when its all over. 

Has anyone went to the Wizarding World of HP @ UNiversal Studios Orlando?  It was so crowded but awesome.  Butterbeer is GREAT!

I don't think its new news.

H and I love HP. We can't wait until the new movie comes out in November. It is 5 days before my birthday, so it is perfect.

I hadn't heard where they were splitting the last two books. H and I need to go and buy the first 4 which we haven't read yet.
