RSVP wording

How do I word RSVP cards to indicate it is 2 guests per invite.

I am having a very small wedding, inviting aunts/uncles but not first cousins, (which would number close to 100). By the way many of them have had second weddings and didn't invite all the cousins.

And do you call people once the deadline to RSVP has passed to see if people are coming?

Re: RSVP wording

  • A wedding I just attended over the weekend had "2 seats have been reserved in your honor" plus our names printed right on the RSVP. If you want to make sure only the invitees are the ones that come, maybe include the names on the RSVP. If Aunt Sally sees that 2 seats are being held for her but Uncle George can't come, she might reply for 2 and bring Cousin Betty or a friend.

Like Edie said, wait a couple days past the deadline so that you know all the ones in the mail have made it to you before start calling.
