Where's your favorite place

to go out to lunch? I have decided panera is mine. Today is my last day in nashville and I decided to stop here and it is so good. Where do you like to go, if you are going out and not being good and bringing your lunch? :)

  • My favorite place is Mimi's Cafe, but that's a chain out west where I used to go in Colorado. Out here, Chipotle would be my favorite (also from Colorado, ha). But ditto Panera, yum.

  • Subway.  I could eat there every day.  It seriously bums me out that there isn't one in walking distance from my current job.
  • The cafe on the first floor of my office building.

  • Mmmmm I love Panera.  It would be a toss up between Panera, Nick 'n Willy's pizza, and Salad Brothers.
  • El Torito (which is regional) because they have an $8.99 lunch buffet. With someone making tortillas right in front of you!

I'm getting kind of sick of the lunch places that are in walking/short driving distance from my office, including Subway, which is really close. It sucks.

  • When I travel I usually hit up Panera and Subway.  I worked at Panera for awhile in college and I was always impressed with their stickler-ness for cleaning, sanitizing, and such.  And I love soup and bread.

When I'm not traveling, I love this little French bistro around the corner from my office.  The service is super slow, but they have such good coffee, wine, and bread I don't care.  FI and I met there for lunch this week and I had the most delicious croque monsieur and french onion soup for $7.  Love it.

  • I agree wholeheartedly on Panera.

  • I love Panera, but 9 times out of 10 it doesn't agree with me.  I have no idea why, because it's not weird food or anything.  It's sad.

  • There are a ton of cool places that are local  in town here.  Plus, Panera, Qdoba, Jason's Deli, etc.

  • Whole Foods. I L-O-V-E their pay by the pound buffet. I'm always making excuses to be near a whole foods around lunch or dinner time.

  • We don't have any chain restaurants around where I work, but there is an authentic Mexican place in town that is delicious, and a little sushi joint as well.  Once in a while Au Bon Pain (like Panera sort of) or pizza or pasta.

  • We don't eat at chains too often, but every once in a while I get a craving for Jimmy Johns.

  • Not a chain, but a place called "Redcoats."  They have amazing fish and chips.
  • Nagoya (sushi res.) when I am at home and I usually bring my lunch to school or I find a res. that has low fat or low carb options.

  • Johnny Carinos is my go to lunch place. Soup, salad, and bread for 5.99? I think so.
