Make-up trial question.

This is probably both a very dumb & obvious question, but did you wear makeup to your makeup trial or come totally makeup free?

The reason I ask is because it seems as though it would be a good idea for your MUA to get a sense of your typical everyday look. Right?

TIA! Cool

Re: Make-up trial question.

  • I went makeup free. They will take off your makeup for you, but it's kind of a PITA.
  • I'm planning on going free. I'll put on moisturizer, but that's only because it has SPF 30 and I don't like leaving the house without sunscreen.

  • Hey Stef!

Go bare.  You will definitely see a difference anyway.
  • You made a good point but I will probably go make-up free to mine. I'll just tell them my style. A good make-up artist  should know how to best highlight my features.
  • I just had my trial a week or so ago. I went with make-up because I thought it would be helpful for her to see what I normally do (as OP stated) and also because I came from work. She gave me some cleanser to use, but I have super sensitive skin, so it ended up totally drying me out and I started flaking a little, and she kept having to moisterize while she was applying. So now I wish I hadn't, so I could've used my own products.
  • P.S. Stef---I LOVE your sig picture. Where was it taken? I love the colors in it.

  • I went make-up free.  I did bring along my own makeup, though, so she could see what colors I typically used.
  • my MUA asked me to come as I usually am everyday, which for me is just tinted moisturizer and blush.
