So as some of you know my first DJ bailed (he finally emailed me back just saying sorry it took so long to get back, you should find a new dj, sorry it didn't work out)
I signed a contract last night with a new DJ (Yeah!!!!) but I want to write an email to the first DJ....this is what I have so far.... what do you think???
I just wanted to take a moment and to let you know how disappointed I am with your lack of professionalism.
Over the past couple of years our family has hired you for events and eagerly recommended you to friends and coworkers, leading me to think you would be a great match for our wedding. When you agreed to do our wedding back in January we stopped looking for a DJ. Over the past 7 months you could not be bothered to take 5 minutes to respond to emails nor voicemails. While I would never stand for this from other vendors, we gave you leeway before we became concerned, based on our past history. For you to wait until less than two months before our wedding, to tell us you will not be providing your service, which you previously agreed to, can only be taken as you being diliberently insolent.
In a field that relies heavily on word of mouth and positive recommendations, I can only tell you that you will no longer be receiving one from our family. In fact we will make sure that everyone we come in contact with knows how unprofessional you are.
