I dug in my closet last night and found a sweater/shirt thing I've never worn. I can't even remember when I bought it. Scary. Anyhoo, I figured it deserved a shot. Yay for casual Friday!

I don't have a pic, but I do have a fashion related question.

So it seems like lots of you girls shop at Forever 21. Last time I rolled through there I got the impression that nothing would fit me, like everything was made for really tiny people. Did I just not look closely enough? I want to get something new to wear for the GTG tomorrow because I have nothing in my closet.

Matilda, when I shop there I usually end up in a large, if it's tops. But at most places, like Limited and Ann Taylor, I'm a small. So yeah, I think a lot of things at F21 do run pretty small.

Well Matilda, you are tall right? Forever21 is kind of hard for anyone taller than 5'2'' because their hemlines are really short. I'm only 5'5'' and can't really wear any of their dresses. And if I do find anything there I usually have to go up a size or two. I wear a size small top most places but usually go for a large at F21.

Waltz, I cannot shop at forever21, unless it's accessories. Sometimes I can find something in clothing - SOMETIMES. But usually I just get aggravated and go away. I'm way bigger than you though. You're skinny so you should be fine.

However, length at F21 is always an issue for me, so it might be an issue for you too. It's inexpensive and you can get lots of stuff

It depends on the style of the tops and clothes there too. I tried on a dress last night that was a large and it fit well, but I tried on a looser styled shirt that was a large and it was way too big. I think they are confused there.

F21 dresses are tunics for me. I'm 5'9". That's not necessarily a bad thing though, I just make sure that I only look at dresses that I think would look good with leggings.

Well that's good and bad news. I guess some of the tops might fit but would be too short. I won't even look at dresses and skirts because I already know they won't fit. I may have to stop there after work today and see what I can find. Thanks!

Well you could probably find tops that are long enough. Basically everything in that store that isn't pants or shorts is really confused as to whether or not it wants to be a top or a dress. All the tops are long and all the dresses are short so they end up being kind of the same thing.

I'm wearing the shirt, belt, necklace and earrings from my e-pics and different jeans and shoes.  I'm so original.

Scratch that.  Same jeans, ballet flats instead of boots.

I shop at F21 quite often, but like PPs said their dresses are super short and once you wash most of their clothes they end up even shorter.  I do have quite a few cute tops from there though.  You do sometimes have to sift through a lot though in order to find the stuff you really want.

Yeah Matilda, we do not have many shopping places in my area, so F21 is one of my options. I usually just go there since it is the end of the mall so I don't actually have to step in the mall, I hate that place. I am short, so some of the dresses fit, but only if they are stretchy or a looser style. It really seems like they work with so many brands so there are no cohesive sizes. The shirt I am wearing today is a size small and fits like most of my large basic tees, but usually I cannot even fit my pinky in a size small! Just plow through, you will probably find good for a great price! I always shop in the clearance section, but I am also a cheap ass. Good luck!

I already hang almost every shirt I own instead of putting them in the dryer, so hopefully I won't have this problem.
