    He is so cute!
  • Yes, yes you do need to have that.
  • Do you collect squirrels?
  • Why yes, you do have to have that.

It's even on sale. It was meant to be.
  • Well fine.  I was going to send you this, but if you want a 3D, I guess there's nothing for me to do but keep it. *sigh*

  • Squirl's, my company's "logo" has a nut in it, so we were sending taxidermied squirrels to potential customers. I can totally try to get one for you.

    O_o

I would not become a customer after receiving a taxidermied squirrel. Nope.
  • I actually do have a squirrel collection, albeit smaller than before.  It's my sorority mascot - that's how my SN came to be.  I should take a picture sometime of the ones I kept.  My favorite is a Winnie the Pooh wearing a squirrel suit.  It's too cute.

I got a HUGE plush one off ebay once for one of my little sisters that was the envy of the whole chapter.  I have no idea if she kept it after graduation.  I mostly only kept the small ones or the really unique ones.

Birdie, our chapter prez one year brought in a taxidermy one that her granddad gave her to bring us.  Only it was totally in attack mode.  Scary!  I don't think I could deal with a real one.  The slightly cartoonish are better.  Cause, ya know, they're not dead.

Oh god.  Only in Kentucky.  That's so weird.

Wow.  That's an interesting tactic for getting new clients/customers.
  • That is really cool, squirrly.

It is always a guessing name about some of the SN's out there unless they are obvious like a nickname, like mine is.

Adorable! He would look great in our cabin.

  • Erm yeah I thought it was pretty creepy when they came up with the idea.

I was like "Oh! Like a stuffed animal?"
    "No, a real one."
    "Ew."

The Creative Director who came up with the idea keeps one on his desk now.
  • Birdie, thank you for making this my favorite thread in the history of TK.

    For serious.

  • I have that!!  It was a gift (for an inside joke) but it is just as adorable in person!!
  • H feeds the squirrels out in the back yard. He named one of them Winston and feeds him by hand. One day Winston came inside (the screen on the door is broken at the bottom and maintenance has yet to fix it) and freaked out! Luckily, the cat was with me in the bedroom, so no mayhem occured. He hasn't tried to get in since!

  • I totally have a picture of me holding a baby squirrel somewhere.  Pre digital cameras, too.  I'll have to find/scan that one.
