Not getting RSVPs back and more...

Some people decided to wait until the last day to respond to our RSVP by text and fb...with excuses like "the mailman won't take the RSVP in the mailbox", "we've never been invited to a fancy wedding, we don't know what to do with it", "I'll get back to you"

Any other time, this will be kind of funny, but I made sure to make the RSVP card very simple for everyone.  I changed the M to Name(s)..and two areas to either check accept or regret. 

I don't know what my point is with this post...I just want to get it off my chest.

Some people are rude and disrespectful.  And personally, I hate "M_______".  I have "Name____" as well.

That was one of my biggest gripes when planning as well.   All you can do is tell them that if you don't hear by X date then you'll have to put them down as a no.

This is off topic, but my husband and I had several laughs about what a few different people did with the "M". I'd say the majority ignored it...but for instance his grandma used it for the M in Martha, her name. One of his college buddies wrote used it for "ME".

Not everyone. Like PP said, priests are not. Nuns. Doctors. Anyone in the military. H's whole family are doctors, and 90% of his friends are military. Several of my friends are priests or nuns.

We just did a blank line for this reason. We had far more people who are neither Mr. nor Ms than those who were.

We also got his parents RSVP back with the 'M' crossed and 'Dr' wrote in! The RSVP's were pre wrote with the 'M' so I didn't change it. Ah well. OP sorry that's gotta be a pain the butt! I have a feeling I might need to track down some RSVP's too later.
