Just initially posting to say hello. (Hello). :) I wish I had found this etiquette board back when I first got engaged last year! I'm getting married this May, and have made some small (and not so small) etiquette faux pas during my wedding planning, but hopefully with the help of you lovelies on these boards, I'll be on the straight and narrow from here on out. ;) So...nice to be here, and happy to "meet" you!

    Hi Lia, thanks for the warm welcome!   Your dogs are adorable!  I have 2 dogs as well, and they also steal each others beds.  So weird.   They also refuse to sleep unless completely covered by blankets.   Spoiled brats!   Happy to AW!   My favorite fur child is my cat though. He causes me no trouble and lets me put silly collars on him.   My phone doesnt seem to allow me to post the pic of him here?   Not so "smart" phone.   Grrrrr.

    Greetings and salutations! 

    Have you and your fiance discussed what you will do in the event one of you becomes a zombie?  My husband and I have agreed that if we are a werewolf or vampire, we will turn the other, but we draw the line at zombies. 


    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    You really shouldn't put it off, Lia. That is some important sh!t.

    I am not sleeping well at night now that I am cat sitting b/c now I have TWO cats that want to crowd me out of bed. I wish they would sleep in beds of their own.

    </div><div>We have only discussed survival techniques - and in the zombie scenario we definitly determined that if one of us turned we have to take care of the other as if it were any other zombie. We also determined that I probably wouldn't do well in a zombie apocolypse.</div>

    Thanks TXkristan and Addie!  Yes invites were sent last week,  and we've even gotten a few RSVPs back already.  Woohoo!  Being Walking Dead fans, we have discussed the one of us becoming a zombie dilemna, and both agree to allow the zombie bite the non-zombie so that we can "die" together and join forces to terrorize the living together.   A girl can dream!  Haven't considered the vampire/werewolf scenarios, but probably the same.  :-D

    Ha, I love this post.

    Hi Unruly!  I'm Kate.  I suppose I'm officially a married old hag now since H and I are 1.5 years in (our 6 yr dating anniversary is next Saturday!).  We have two furbabies.  I actually took the below picture because it was the first time our 10yo cat Blizzard and our 3month old dog Penguin were that close to each other without swatting / nipping / growling, etc.  But funnily enough it is also an example of bed stealing!  

     

    H and I have not discussed our un-dead plans... better get on that.

    Hi Kate - my favorite name!  I always said if I ever have a daughter I will name her Kate.  :-)

    Are the dog and cat locked in that crate together??  LOL.  Thats one way to make them co-exist!   I just love puppy dog eyes.  I could NEVER say no to that lil pup of yours.   Probably why my own dogs are so freakin spoiled.   Heh.

    Welcome Unruly!! 

    I, too, need to discuss the zombie thing with my FI. We already shook on it that I get to die first because I couldn't handle him dying on me. But that was under normal non-zombie circumstances. 

    Here's my dog Edna right-side up 

    ETA: She is far too fat and drooly to be allowed in bed. She has her own beds and when we got new pillows we gave her one of the old ones. She LOVES it with all her heart.

    And my signature pic is her upside down, lol.

    bahaha, no.  That would be interesting.  The crate door is open and the cat decided to get comfy.  Puppy is lying on the ground outside her own crate b/c the cat took it over.

    Is this a dog pic share-a-thon? Because I'm totally in.

    Here's our six month old mini schnau, Margot. We got her three weeks ago and when she came to us, she was PAINFULLY shy but now she snuggles and kisses and goes bonkers over walks. This picture is Margot looking very pathetic at the vet.

    Oh wow, I thought my H and I were the only people that had zombie contingency plans!  

    Just last week I processed some roosters, and  I said to H "Now you really can't get rid of me.  I'll be the only lady for miles around who knows how to make food out of animals.  Total knowledge gold for the zombie apocolypse."

    He agreed completely that I was a very valuable woman indeed :P.

    Haha. Long ago, I told FI that if he ever became and a vampirehe had to promise to turn me too and vice versa. He gave me a look like I was crazy and just shook his head in disbelief.

    I remain undecided on werewolves, but am with you on the No to zombies.
