inviations

My parents are paying for the reception and my fiance and I are paying for the rest, how should the invitation read if his parents are paying for anything?

Re: inviations

  • The invitations aren't intended for you to show who is paying and who isn't.  Traditionally, the bride's parents are listed first because they're the hosts of the wedding.  So you might do something like this:

    Mr. & Mrs. Bride's parents
request the honor of your presence
at the wedding of their daughter

    Steph
    to
    Steph's FI
son of Mr. & Mrs. FI's parents

That would be the traditional wording and you really don' t have to list your FI's parents, but it's nice in my opinion to do it if you're listing yours.
