Sorry for being a downer. It's hard to talk about, but when I see someone in a similar situation my heart goes out to them and I can at least offer a perspective. I have a hard time with it though.

I'm really disappointed that Santorum is leading right now here. I wanted to go to caucus but it was so complicated figuring out where to go and crap, I bailed. Now i wish I would've gone. Only 9% reporting but ugh, Santorum.

Jill, I feel for you. I had such a rough time with my grandma (who helped raise me as my parents were both very young and struggling- but with family help they made it!). It's been almost 2 years, and I still can't talk about her without getting upset. I know no two situations are the same, amd no two people get through it the same, but If you ever want to talk, I am here, a PM and about 5 states away. On a shoe note- I talked to customer service for 17 minutes, about half of which was about Vegas (where Zappos is located) am half about the shoe and them buying them. He had a nice NC accent. I want to go to Vegas again now! Evening Eeners gtg? That still "happening"?

Hm, I don't really know. I don't want to leave the house. At all. I'm a big home-body, but especially so the last few weeks. I literally had to drag myself to work this morning, and I really like my job!

I don't know, I think that's sort of normal. There's nothing wrong with being a homebody. Think about it, you've already set up your home in a way that is emotionally and aestethically comforting. The more appropriate question is, why wouldn't you want to spend time at a place that you've tailored for yourself?

Also, most people have to drag themselves to work. Even if you like your job, it's tough to have to drag yourself to the same place every day every year and do an exoribitant amount of work.

Same here! I honestly don't think we ever did anything super special for Vday. Our first one was ignored, as its silly, but last year I think we at least went out to dinner. This year, with each holiday being "our first x" together, it's sorta special. Maybe a nice 6 pack and dinner at our local BYOB Thai place. I did just buy an adorable sale dress from Free People that would be fun to wear out, depending on the weather... Decisions decisions.
