Wedding Gift Thank You Note Etiquette

Hi ladies, I lurk on this board a lot but never really post.  My DH and I were married a little over a week ago and I am wondering something.

 

We got 7 gifts, then the rest was cash and cheques.  My question for you ladies is How long after the wedding do people have to get the Thank You Notes out?  I was hoping to wait to get our pictures back from our photographer and design something as I am a graphic designer.  Is this ok for me to wait?  Or should I do something else??

Your TY notes should be sent by the 2 month mark at the absolute latest, but really you should aim for more like 1 month.  Do you know when you'll get your pro pics back?  We got ours back within a week, ordered our cards the next day from Shutterfly, and had them all sent out within a month.  If it's going to be too long, maybe you can find a nice non-pro pic.  I think your sig pic is super cute.

You should get them out as soon as possible. I wouldn't wait more than another week or 2 to get them out.

Our photographer sent me 8 teasers the day after.  I have been wondering if I should ask when they will be done (I am a photographer as well, and I have a 2 week turn around).

<div>Maybe they could just have one done sooner for you (like, one of the teasers but corrected and whatever else they do). Otherwise, I like the idea of a wedding photo Christmas card. That's what we did, so I could get the TYs out asap (yet I still didn't get them out for a couple of months-- bad bride!)</div>
