Help me shop for new glasses?

I haven't had a new pair of glasses since my senior year of high school, so needless to say, it's time. My current pair is a dark purple, with thicker rectangular frames. I'm most likely going to get 2 pairs-one for work, and a funkier pair. I found a website that you can "try" frames on. Do these look totally stupid? I'm looking for brutal honesty-if you say it, someone's going to be thinking it anyway.

Re: Help me shop for new glasses?

  • I think that exact size is too small for your face.  But maybe if they were a bit bigger?

  • Amy, I'm thinking it's because I don't have the sizing quite right on the website.
  • Its a little hard to tell, because they aren't quite in scale, but I think they're super cute and would compliment your face.

What website are you on?  I have gotten about 5 pairs of glasses from zennioptical.com and I think they're awesome.  Glasses (including lenses) start at like 7 bucks with 5 dollar shipping (total.  for your entire order.  even if you order all the things)
  • I like those kinds of frames and I think you could pull them off. I wish I wore glasses sometimes, there are so many cute frames out there.
  • MUN1, I'm on eyebuydirect.com. I'll have to check out that site-that's an awesome deal.
  • I'm looking at this pair for my work glasses:

  • ooh, i haven't been to that one...and it looks like the prices are similar.  I might need moar glasses.

    I love glasses.
  • Jill, I like the second pair a lot.  Very cute and look nice on your face.
  • I just have the one pair, because these frames were stupidly expensive. Dumb highschool me. If this order goes well, I may end up with multiple pairs. It's fun to be able to switch them out.
  • I got glasses with this free deal last time and I love them! http://www.coastal.com/gma?Network_ID=LS&siteID=jJBuy7V4Sr0-OcDDAQ3_JHDl7I82NgZc.w

I spent like $15 on protective coatings and $15 on shipping but otherwise, free!

  • I really like the second pair. I think they're very flattering, and they're modern and kind of fun.

I don't care for the first pair. They look out of date to me. Not old enough to be retro funky, just not in style.

I've seen some that have the same sort of dimensions as the rectangular ones you've got second, but with an oval shape to them instead of straight lines. Have you tried something like that?

The second ones are super cute! Honestly, I think the first pair is just so-so.  I think part of it is that the scale is a little off, so it's hard to tell for sure what they would look like.

Edit: Oh, and I meant to tell you that you have a beautiful smile!

Aw, thank you! I've always been a little self-concious of my big teeth, but I'm learning to love it.
