that it's fall?  For me:

* Football season officially starts

* The first really good rain of the season happens

* I start craving Chili

* I can bake things with pumpkin in them and not have to spend more than a buck on pumpkin

Ha! I wish it would get even remotely cool here in Georgia. The heat and humidity is still around and probably will be for at least another month and a half.

But football, esp Ohio State football, always means fall for me. I also love bonfires on cool nights, seeing the leaves change colors, being able to eat chili & soup in the crockpot.

fyi - i have never seen a football game in my life.  

fall = apple picking, kids going to bed on time because it's dark at 7:00pm, pumpkin soup, the colours of the leaves changing, wearing my favorite coats!

It starts getting colder outside and the leaves start changing colors. 
Pumpkin coffee comes back, which is my favorite.
 I start seeing apple/apple cider stands in town.

I love everyone's little 'indicators' - except yours, ten (that totally blows...uh, no pun intended!)  Fall is my favorite season, I'm so glad it's here!
