(wouldn't let me write any more, odd...) 5. I see what you all mean about it being really long... I will indeed be cutting the time down a lot, finishing around 8/9pm. 6. The entire building is ours for the whole day, 11am Sunday-11am Monday, so it doesn't really matter if people wish to carry on dancing or whatever. 7. I saw somewhere that the first wedding meal is always called Brunch (before 6pm) or dinner (6pm onward). 8. Definitely liking the idea that cutting the day down produces an open bar for the entire time. 9. The DIY cocktail plan would be fine, my FI, myself, and several of our friends are pub/deputy managers, and hold personal licenses. We definitely understand the law regarding alcohol sale. A very good point that would have been missed by others though, so thank you for mentioning it :] 10. In reference to lodonnell616 - the only thing I've been to even remotely like a wedding was our companys Christmas party (1050 people), and they did the same, drinks on the table for the meal, and cash bar for the rest of the night, which was where I got the idea from. 11. The 6000 guests... Nonononono... Lol :] apparently my iPhone doesn't like dashes, and it did indeed originally say 60 to 70... I definitely do not know anywhere near even half that many people... 12. I understand the thing about water instead of punch, but remember I'm in the UK... Dehydration etc just isn't as big a thing here (I'm assuming that's the reason for the suggestion?) Besides, the wedding's in Wales... If people want water, they'll more than likely be able to cup their hands and catch the rain :] (Not even remotely suggesting I'd make them do that, by the way). Water etc will be available all day, just thought it'd be nice to have as a welcome... Much like receiving a glass of champagne when you first arrive at big events, except I personally hate champagne... Lol 13. The little "cocktail bar" is only a side-point, a bit of fun... The main bar and soft drinks would still absolutely be available. 13b. The setup isn't an issue, I've set up plenty of bars in my time, but as with the point about the legality, I realise it's something that could be easily overlooked so thank you for pointing it out :] I think that covers everything...? If there's anything I've missed, please shout, and thank
So, maybe things don't always go as planned... Maybe that's okay. I may be alone for now, but my baby boy is on his way, and I wouldn't change a thing.
