Can they really be that different? It's a hanger. I would use the one she got you. After the wedding, you can use both. They will still function as hangers after you are married.

ETA: I promise, I'm not intending to sound snotty. I was just surprised it was a hanger. I like Chrissy's idea of using them for different items.

Use one for accessories, or if you're changing into a going away outfit or reception dress, use one for that.

Hmm if your FI has a sil w that name give her the one you bought for yourself. Just use the one that was a gift. If you need to use both hang your rd dress on one and the wedding dress on the other. If you have a getting ready robe you could use your original one for that too. Don't overthink it its a hanger.
