My fiance's parents are inviting a couple close friends of the family so I extended the same offer to my parents with one limitation.
I don't want my dad's college friend (I'll call him Jim) there.
Jim is an over 50 two time divorce' with a young child. He believes that he is part of my family and takes that as license to behave inappropriately. The day after my brother's graduation he stalked around the outside of the house until we all woke up and were having breakfast. He then invited himself in. He is also the type of person who would insert himself in a family portrait.
Jim makes innapropriate sexual comments to and about women. He brought over a pair of chinese relaxation balls once and mentioned that I would probably like some balls. He casually talks about women from different cultures having different sexual attitudes.
He also uses his kid to try to pick up women.
My dad "doesn't understand" why I would feel uncomfortable with Jim at the wedding. What is the best way to put my foot down and not have him there?
