I am going to give my FMIL an Excel sheet to fill in with her guest list when it comes time. But...how do I bring up that we don't really want kids there?
For what it's worth, my mom is paying, and the FMIL has not offered as of yet (we are VERY early--but we just need a cost estimate so we need rough lists). My mom DOES NOT want kids. I kind of don't, but if FI were to say he DID, I'd come around. FI says he doesn't care one way or the other.
Is it a simple "Hey, here is the excel doc to fill in with the guest list, but we were talking, and how do you feel about an adult-only reception? Would this be ok?"
HIS side will take up a TON of space, so we need her input.
