So we've gotten ourselves into quite a predicament. My fiance and I have 1 nephew on my side--but he is too little to be a ring bearer. When we got engaged, my mom (and kind of everyone) assumed that the neighbors I babysit for (ages 3 & 5) would be ring bearers. Only problem is, we are only inviting adults, and my fiance's family has easily 15 kids, so if my neighbors kids were to come that would put everyone in a weird spot since we aren't inviting all the kids.
How do I kindly tell my neighbors (the two parents, plus their parents/kids' grandparents are invited) that their children wont be ring bearers and also won't be a part of the invitation? Should I just explain the circumstances when I see them in person next?
Any tips? I feel like I'm uninviting them, and that makes me feel awful, but it'll be worse if I just cave and then eeveryone else is bugged at the wedding!
