I am bridesmaid in a destination wedding in April for my FSIL. The wedding is on a Saturday in HI, small wedding, only immediate family and friends. As of right now, they are planning to not have a rehearsal dinner of any kind, though my FMIL wants our whole family to go for dinner either the Thursday or Friday night after we have all flown in (though I'm assuming on this, we will all pay for our own dinner). Is the rehearsal dinner something you can opt out of as a bride and groom? I'm a little offended that they are asking us all to fly away for this wedding and not have any sort of rehearsal dinner or drinks to meet the rest of the wedding party and family of the groom.
EDIT: To answer, there is going to be a rehearsal at the wedding location on the Friday afternoon.
