Wedding Cost and FILs

Hi. My FILs have just offered to pay for some of me and my FIs wedding costs.  We don't know how much yet.  Even though they emailed both of us on our joint account, I feel like I should leave it up to him to reply and either accept or decline.  But I do want to say thank you of course.  How do I say thank you but at the same time not really accept or decline?  I don't want to seem ungrateful nor greedy.  Thanks for all input.

Can you just talk to your FI and draft an email together?

I would talk to your FI and discuss how you want to approach it together.

I agree with everyone else...definitely wait until you and your FI can send a reply together.  Since they sent an email, I would think if they wanted to know ASAP they would have called or talked in person, rather than sent an email, so it would be alright to hold off on the answer.

I would wait and apply with FI too.  Whatever you two decide, make sure you tell them how grateful you are for their offer

Great!  It sounds like nobody thinks I'm expected to reply individually as well as together.  I thought we could reply together but that I also needed to acknowledge the offer on my own.  But it sounds like I don't need to do that.  A joint reply is all we need to do from what I'm understanding.
