Good morning!

Ahhh nothing better than getting rocked out of bed at 4:30am by a roaring thunderstorm. I love this weather!

So, I'm still stalking my photographer's website for my boudoir photos... she told me 9 days ago they'd be ready "in a day or so"... how much longer should I give her before I ask again? I don't want to be a pushy b!tch but I'm so anxious to see them!

Re: Good morning!

  • 9 days is plenty long enough.  I'd ask her again.  You aren't being pushy, for sure.

And hi!  It's finally sunny here and warmer than it's been in AGES.  So I'm super happy.
  • We had a gorgeous weekend... 80's and sunny. It was a little humid though, hence the massive storms that are rolling through now.

I think I'll give her the rest of the day today... looks like from her FB updates she was out of town with family for Memorial Day weekend. I'll email her tonight or tomorrow morning if I don't see them.
  • That's a good plan.  It's all of 22 here, which converts to 71.  Warmest it's been in weeks.  I plan to spend a good portion of today sitting on the balcony, reading. :)

Also, I want to punch a poster on Beauty in the face.  She's being so self-righteous that it infuriates me.
  • Oooo which one? I must go check this out. I've had my fair share of IRL-crazy at work lately... need a good dose of BSC to even out my poor brain. I actually sat with a beer and watched Inside Edition last night just to clear my head. LOL!
  • Ha ha ha I found her... wow. You know, I've been losing sleep over fingernail colors lately, too...
  • Sorry, I'd run off to take a shower.  But yeah.  I just imagine her, sitting in a grand chair with her pearls and tea with this sanctimonious look and tone.  Makes me want to throat punch her.

I am off to enjoy some sunshine! WOO! :D Lata!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!  Pick which one applies...

We are still adjusting to life here.  It's funny to hear H going "WTF are they thinking"  uhm yes dear, I told you...

  • Have a great time in the sun, Amoro!

Good morning, aMrs! Where are you guys now?
  • OOOH, I forgot, we bought a boat yesterday.

We were going to have to buy a trailer to get our stuff across the country to the new house and H convinced me it was easier to just buy a trailer with a boat already on it and load that up.  This way he can go fishing.

    I am such a sucker.

  • LOL that sounds like my FI's reasoning. Congrats on the boat! Once we get out of this apartment, we're going to move closer to Lake Michigan and will probably get one too. I used to sail when I was younger... would love to get back in to it again.
  • We are back in Australia.

Oh this is just a 14 foor aluminum fishing boat, with a bimini and an out board.  We are still having the conversations about which sailboat we'll be owning.  I want a Benateau 36.7 (perfect for a family cruiser) and he insists it must be trailerable.  So I suggested the I-14 and now he thinks he married an insane woman.

So, I shall keep sailing other peoples boats.

  • Good morning! Organic chem and lab today, yay oh yay.

  • FI and I have always wanted to visit Australia... I'm so not-well-travelled. Canada is the only other country I've ever been to. He's always had this dream of swimming the Great Barrier Reef naked. Riiight. We'll see about that.

Keep pushing that Benateau... he'll cave eventually. :)

Well, I have to great ready for work now. If today is anything like the last few weeks... I won't be back on the boards until tomorrow morning. But one can always hope!

    Have a great day/afternoon/evening! :)
  • Morning ladies! This is the first time I've had for even a few minutes of knotting in quite a while... I moved out of my Delaware apartment and into a storage unit at the end of last week, and then FI arrived on Memorial Day. Now I'm sitting in a hotel room in Connecticut prepping for my second day of dissertation fieldwork, while FI is still sleeping. I'm going to have to get him moving pretty soon.

Good to "see" you guys! :)

  • It was just awful. I think it will be a while before I can afford to hire anyone, so I haven't made any resolutions like that, but it sure sounds nice. I hate packing.

We had a blast with her lastnight.
  • Funny, I hate the packing more than the moving, because the packing actually requires a fair amount of mental effort. I mean, the moving sucks too - I lived on the third floor of y apartment building with no elevator - but I'd rather haul stuff than pack it.

  • Good morning ladies! Work is slow here today, even though it's only 8:30.  But hey, I guess that just means I'll be around here today =)

Nope, she sure didn't.  She replied to that thread, to which I made a response, but that's it.  As far as I can tell, she didn't even read it.
  • Morning ladies!  Nothing exciting going on here at work...same shiit, different day.

WR - my mom has decided that my dad HAS TO wear a tux to the wedding, but only because she wants to "punish" him for getting to walk me down the aisle with her.  My FI doesn't want my dad to wear a tux because the he and the GMs are wearing vests/ties instead of bow ties/cumberbunds and doesn't want my dad more dressed up than him or his dad (who will be wearing a suit) :::headdesk:::

  • Amoro, ok!  I am thinking about browsing them while I'm home next week, but I still have some time before I really need to choose so we'll see.

Steph, that's so awesome!  Good luck with the move. :)
  • Thanks guys!

Kate- is your hometown in Iowa or is that just where you went to college at?
  • I'm from MI originally, just went to school in Corn Town :)
  • Ah gotcha.  Well have fun on your roadtrip!

It might have been a different situation were I actually living in MI, but with me being gone, I just let them choose.  Plus, none of them have any money, so I didn't want to burden them with an expensive dress.
