How Should I Address This Invite?

One of my friends is invited to my wedding, but I'm not sure how I should address her invite.  She is married, but her husband just recently deployed.  Should I still address the invite Mr. and Mrs. Justin...... or just address it in her name?

Re: How Should I Address This Invite?

  • I'd still address it to the couple and not just the wife.

You never know-he might be able to get leave and attend.
  • I would address it to both of them. Personally, if I was in her shoes it would probably sting a little bit to get a wedding inviation addressed to just me.

Since her H is deployed you might want to consider allowing her to bring a guest if he won't be on leave at the time, especially if she is travelling.

<div>I agree with all of this. Except if you are limited on space and you know that she will know a few other people at the wedding it's probably ok to not allow a guest. If she wouldn't know anyone else, though, a guest would be a great for her to bring.</div>
