NWR: Inviting friends/family/co-workers to a Grand Opening

I have started a new retail business and will be inviting everyone to the grand opening. I would like to send thank you cards out afterwards thanking everyone for their support. If these guests buy something is it weird to include this in the thank you card or keep all notes similar?

    I think a nice generic TY of "Thanking for supporting my new business.  It was great seeing you at the Grand Opening!", will work for you.  Maybe do it as a post card?  You could put your business card on the other side, so that they also remember your business and can show the card to recommend to others.
