Bridal shower invites

My fiance and I are REALLY trying to keep our guest list under 120 people. Or should I say that I am trying. He only has 20 guests on the list now and I have 105!! For those ladies who didn't make the wedding guest list cut, (coworkers, church members, etc.) would it be right to invite them to the bridal shower?? Or are they just excluded from everything??

Think of is this way... would YOU want to go to someone's bridal shower and bring a gift and then not be invited to the wedding?

It's poor etiquette to invite anyone to a pre-wedding party, especially a gift giving one like a shower, if the person isn't invited to the wedding.

it's okay to not invite everyone you know to the wedding or pre-wedding parties.

I would be offended if someone invited my to the shower but not the wedding.

It's all or nothing.  Think about it:  It is an honor to be invited to celebrate someone's marriage (the reception).  It is not an honor to be invited to said person's gift-giving festivities (the shower) without being invited to the actual wedding.

Not an option.  If the lovely women at work/church want to THROW you a bridal shower outside the one you are having, that's a whole other issue.

Thanks ladies!!! That's what I thought but wanted to get some confirmation.  And NOOOOO I am not planning my own shower. LOL!!! My scrapbooking group is doing that but I have to give them a guest list. Thanks again Ladies!!!
