Re: An Open Letter to Monday:

  • I hate sunday night more than I hate monday. Its the anticipation of having to wake up early and go to work that I hate more than actually doing it.
  • Ditto times a billion.
  • I hate both of them equally. I'm an equal opportunity hater.

  • I also hate everyone who tries to make small talk with me on Monday mornings. I promise, I will not give a fuuck about your weekend until at least 10 am.
  • Im actually ok with it being monday today, because that means im still adequately far enough away from christmas to still get my stupid cards out on time... christmas keeps creeping closer and closer and I still have too much to do.

I hate the "so how was your weekend" question. It was fine, I didnt do anything, just like I didnt do anything the last weekend, or the weekend before that. If I was doing something interesting worth talking about, you would have known about it in advance.

This..  I have such bad anxiety about Mondays it's ridiculous.  My doctor gave me Ambien so that I could sleep.  Last nitght, I almost too two just to get me to sleep faster.  Almost.

EDIT: Doctor, not daughter! sheesh.  I only have a son (who's 13).
  • My admin has done nothing today but go from office to office asking about people's weekends. I'm happy for her that she is a morning person, but please spare the rest of us.

I probably should add that I am in a terrible mood in general today, so that doesn't help.

  • I took care of Monday by skipping class(although FI has the parking pass so, really, it's his fault). At least it's a spinning class and I'm not missing any material that will be on a final in a week.

Nebb, today we might be the same person.  This is one of my biggest pet peeves.

I don't even really care to hear how incredibly exciting your weekend was while I sat around in my pj's watching a Snapped marathon.

I'm a morning person and all but I despise the obligatory how was your weekend BS that goes on every Monday. Sorry you're in a terrible mood though cewbear.

  • I hate Mondays, but I love Vally.

  • I hate it too!  And the world conspired against me this morning making me walk my 3 blocks from the parking lot to my office outside in the snow and ice instead of inside like I had planned.  Arg!

  • The only thing keeping me from calling in sick today is the knowledge that if I do I wont be able to afford going shopping after christmas, that is literally the only thing stopping me.
  • Kiss

We use MSN messenger in our office and if any of yous guys are familiar with it, you can put a little memo (like an away message, I guess?) and one of my coworkers put "Just Another Manic Monday" in her status... and the person below her in the list put "Wish It Were a Sunday" and then I just added "Cause that's my fun day!"

  • I hate Monday. Thank God this is my Thursday, but I really need it to be my Monday so I can get everything I need to done before I take off Wednesday, which is actually my Saturday. But at least tomorrow's Friday!

Woops! It should have been doctor not daughter.  Sorry for freaking you out Nebb.  It would be kinda weird if my daughter gave me some Ambien hahaha.  Sorry.  You're right, I only have a son.
  • Mondays are just like any other day for me.  That is because have random weird days off.

Anyway, today means I'm 3 days closer to seeing my DH.  Poor guy is working from 5:30am until midnight for 10 straight days  He is normally a 8-10 hour sleeper.  I think he is a walking zombie.

Oh and I'm 4 days away from seeing my parents.  I have not seen them since Nov 2008.

  • Lynds, are your parents coming into town or are you going to see them?

I have to clean my purse out.  My dad sent me a check.  I put it in my purse and haven't been able to find it for the longest.  I'm all kinds of disorganized.
  • I purposely didn't invite my coworker to a meeting that I have at 9:30 today because she is a Debbie Downer and will poopoo everyone's ideas. I'm sneaky.
  • Also, signed Sarah.

And, semester, I'd like to add you to this letter, as well.  You suck, and together you and Monday have kicked my ass for weeks.  I'm glad that this is my last week with you and in a few short days I'll never have to speak to you again.

    Sealed with a kiss, Sarah
  • I would like to add a post script.

    P.S. I just don't wanna.

They are coming here.  Yay.. It's my mom's birthday.  They have not been here since her birthday 4 years ago. That was even before DH and I even met.

  • Dear Monday- Dont suck. Kthx.

I don't even know what day I have off this week, hopefully Wed or Thurs, so I don't have to wait too long.

  • I hate this monday particularly.  Let's start with me staying up until midnight to watch Ernest Saves Christmas.  Because Ernest rocks, in a creepy, "hi, I like young girls waaaaaaaaaaaay too much" way.

So, the 5:30 alarm was not welcome.  At all.  Especially when I woke up covered in hives (still covered in them.  Thanks anti-histamines for NOT doing your job.).

My drive to work wasn't awful, despite it being -30.  Luckily, most of the blizzard aftermath was cleaned up, including the bus that took out a tree just down the street.

I got to work to realize I'd forgotten my access card so I spent 20 minutes in the elevator lobby hoping someone would let me in.

    Yeah.  It's been farkin' marvelous.
