MICA

Hey, just checking on how you are doing?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Re: MICA

  • Yes.  Inquiring minds want to know.
  • We are slowly getting closer to ground zero.  Boo.

On a happy note DH is cooking dinner for us.  Earlier  we went to the store and got provisions.  You know, wine, vodka, etc.

  • I love how provisions for the hurricane across the board seem to be primarily based upon what to drink while you can't go anywhere. :).
  • yep.  In the store almost every cart had 3-5 gallons of water and some sort of booze.

  • I need to either find a wine store, or go to my online place and order an assortment.  Or my Cleveland wine guy might be able to ship to me, but I'm not sure how much that would be.  I have one bottle of red and one bottle of white in my rack right now.  And I know the red will be enjoyed shortly after being sprung from the hospital, but I need some reserves :).
  • Hey!

The grocery store was crazy busy, and I felt a bit foolish being one of the few people not buying water (we have a few gallons at home already).  I had to wait for someone to leave to get a shopping cart.  But I was able to get everything I needed.

It's crazy windy, but it's only been sprinkling intermittently.

I drained another inch from the pool, but if it reallly pours, the pool might still flood.  I might drain a bit more either tonight or tomorrow morning.
  • Stay safe, ladies!

Never even thought about pools flooding. So much to do! Best of luck!
