Walking down the aisle alone?

I have been considering walking down the aisle alone. I lost both of my parents a year and a half ago. I do have a stepmom and we get along but I don't know that I want to have her walk me down the aisle. Has anyone walked down the aisle by themselves? I have thought about walking down the aisle with my soon to be husband but, I want that moment of him watching me walking down the aisle. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any input.

If that's what you'd like to do, I see nothing wrong with you walking yourself down the aisle.  Perhaps your step-mom could greet you with a hug before you take your place next to your FI?  Do what you'd like to do and what makes you comfortable.

I think walking down the aisle alone is perfectly fine.  I actually had my MOH walk me down the aisle.  She escorted me, and then took her place with the wedding party.

Do you have a sibling? Thats always nice to have them walk you.

If walking down the aisle alone is what feels right to you, you should do it. I think it is lovely.

My father is alive and as of now, coming to the wedidng.  I am walking solo.  I am comfortable with my decision.  Do what feels right to you!!!!

Other than FI, who is most meaningful for you in your life?  If you want to be escourted, I would go with that person.

If you want the moment for yourself, you should do that.

I don't think there is a right or wrong way, it's something very personal and people will respect your decision either way.
