When to mail Save the Dates

Hey guys I was wondering when I should mail my save the dates? Tomorrow the 21st will mark 1 year until my wedding and it is a fall theme wedding. I bought really nice Fall magnet Save the Dates that I wanted to send out in the fall right after the one year mark. Do you think that would be to early to mail out?

Depends how many OOTs you have. Even if they can't book their ticket it's nice to know about and save up for. If you have a lot of OOTs send them now.

I sent mine out 9 months ahead. I'm having a destination wedding on a holiday weekend, though.

I agree with sending them out after the holidays. Although, women from my local board argued with me in the past that STD's should go out one year before the wedding- I think that's a little too soon though.

I agree with schlagetermari.  If you have a lot of OOT's mail them now.  I'm going to be sending out my save the dates within the next two months simply because a ton of my guests live far away and will need the extra time.

My save the date magnets will be here on monday and I am planning on mailing them on tuesday. I am getting married june 10, 2011. so just under 8 mo from now. Since you are doing magnets I would say it is ok to mail them now. If I would have found ones I liked over the summer I would have mailed mine then. or send them with your christmas cards and save on postage.
