A friend recently became engaged and she and her FI have set a date in September 2016. They placed an engagement announcement in their local paper, and people are giving them the side eye. (Her FI is now in Med School and they want to get married after he's done that and his residency.)
I don't see an issue. They're engaged. They placed an announcement. I'm not judging.
Is there something about the situation that I'm not seeing that's tacky or something? I mean, I wouldn't have a five year long engagement...but hey...whatever makes them happy.
