Invite former boss?

When I was sending out my save-the-dates I sent one to my then boss. Since the save-the-dates have gone out I have left for a new job and did not leave on the best terms with my former boss. I reached out to her and have had no response or acknowledgement. I know its proper etiquette to invite everyone who gets a save-the-date but I'm on the fence with this one. Should I still send the invitation? We have a packed guest list as it is, so two more would really help.  What do you guys think??

You sent her an STD so you need to follow through with the invite.  Leave it up to her whether or not she comes.

  • Invite her. She probably won't come anyway.

It would be rude to not send her a formal invitation because you've already invited her (that's what an STD is).

I probably wouldn't want to give an old colleague or boss any reason to dislike me -- you never know when that sort of thing will come back to bite you in the azz.

  • Thanks everyone!

I, of course know, that a STD is a pre-invite. I agree - I think I just needed the validation from all of you. :)
