There is a new show series on National Geographic channel following Zahi Hawass throughout his day to day duties in Egpyt. He also has 3 American archaeology fellows working for him.

If you are at all interested in archaeology, Egpyt, or mummies, it is freaking awesome.

Awwwwwwwwwesome. I wanted to be an archaeologist as a kid. I even dug up half our yard looking for artifacts. My parents could have killed me.

Haha Opal My dad was the same way. He was so happy when I got my first paycheck as an archaeologist because I was finally digging holes in someone elses back yard.

I like Dr. Hawass, I've seen him on Egypt discovery channel specials for years, but is it me, or is he kind of dickheadish on this new show? 

I love the way the word "pyramid" sounds in his accent.

Sadie, that's the way a lot of site heads are. My boss used to fire us every time we made a mistake. You'd better believe we didn't make that mistake again. When you figure in the extreme risk that you are going through to get into these places, and the fragility of the artifacts you really have to be a diickhead towards everyone. You cannot afford mistakes when you are doing archaeology on this level, there's no "fix it" option.
