Okay, I feel super bad doing this but I guess this is why these things exist.
I AM SO ANNOYED WITH MY FUTURE IN-LAWS!!!!!
Actually, they are awesome, totally sweet people and I am really lucky to be joining their family, but they are absolutely IMPOSSIBLE about this wedding.
We are paying for it, and it aint cheap. They started off super understanding, "Oh, you should have what you want, who you want, etc." Nice, right? Except for, "Oh, invite these 100 people (okay, 50) that you have never met, ever", and "you need to wear this" and "no, that person can't wear that", and "hey, let's talk about the wedding 24-7". I know I just need to coordinate with my fiance and put up some friendly and firm boundaries but this has been so much harder than I thought it would be.
And why, why must they have a say about everything?
Oh, and my engagement ring is at the jewelers being matched to a custom-made wedding band right now so I am wearing a different ring on my fourth finger as a placeholder and we were over there last night and my FFIL started making a big deal about how we weren't engaged anymore... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ring I am wearing is a real ring, not a freakin crackerjack ring. And for those of you who say he was kidding... he wasn't.
Okay, I will now take a deep breath. I know it is going to be fine and they are awesome people and I just need to focus on that part of it. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.
