we're closing on one tomorrow, so no pics right now. not that it would be AW worthy for several months anyway. I've got a lot of work ahead of me.

I've had the same thoughts when over there on the nest.  I actually would like to show off our apt because I've been redoing things and I'm really liking it but I haven't taken photos yet

I have very few pics honestly, and the house is so in the middle of different stages of decor it's not funny.  And it's a disorganized mess anyway.

Given that I'm only just getting to having pictures printed to put up around the house today, you really don't want to see my decor! However, here is my house last year when the old owner was here- this was a picture taken by the real estate agent. 

Obviously this is the ex-owners furniture, not ours, but you can see what I'm working with. :P

 

Here's one of H's paintings- we have a few up around the place. The colours are off in this (not to mention the blur in the shot!), but anyway:

I actually AWed several pictures on the nest, but I'll put a couple here anyway. No good pictures of entire rooms because it mostly still looks like a garage sale, but we're fixing it little by little. So you just get a couple of small pieces

And here is a vanity I just set up using an antique desk that was my grandmothers. It sat in my mom's garage for years, so she got it refinished for me as a housewarming gift.

Thanks! I also recovered the seat of the chair, and if you can't tell from the pic I used little knobs/pulls to hang my necklaces on, and a toilet paper holder for my bracelets. I thought it was pretty clever

There is a link to house pictures under my signature. Not sure why I even still have it in my signature - it's been there since we renovated the house.  The outside is not so cute yet, but I'm pretty fond of the inside.

Berry your house is so cute! Question: How did you make those grommet top curtains? I thought that would be really hard to do!

They are super easy! I just bought plastic grommets at a fabric store. All you have to do is cut holes slightly smaller than the grommets and then they just snap together on either side. Does that make sense?

I really need to update my pictures. The office and guest room are totally different and much better now.

We renovated the kitchen living room and dining room last year. Here are some pics. The outside still needs work and I do not have any pics of it.

That does sound easy I had myself convinced you needed some kind of special machine to do it, ha!  Of course now I've already bought curtains for pretty much everywhere, that sucks.

berry, that is a cute house!!!! what changes have you made to the office and guest room? and fwiw, I like the Syracuse theme in the office, but that probably has a lot to do with the fact that we're going with a college theme for our office/man cave as well.

Pooh - we got new bedding, curtains, and wall art for the guest room and got rid of the awful blinds. We packed up one of the computers and moved the other into the guest room, so now the old office is Marc's video game room/our movie room. We mounted a tv on the wall, put in a nice rug, two recliners, a nice little coffee table and got curtains.  It is still Syracuse themed
