Re: Bridesmaids Gifts

  • A couple of things.....

    1) anything that you are requiring the ladies to wear in the wedding, such as the earrings, does not count as a bridesmaid gift.

    2) you don't have to get the MOH something more.  You can get the BM who hosted your bach a gift for hosting your party.  You should give her this in private.

    3) For actually buying BMs gifts, you should shop like it is their birthday, and get them things that they each would enjoy.  They do not have to all get the same gift.

    Hope that helps.

I worded that wrong and edited my post. They *don't* have to wear them to the wedding. I just think that they'd love some simple pearl studded earrings. I would give this to them as a regular everyday gift.

I did give her a little extra something for hosting my shower. I sent this in the mail since she lives out-of-state.
  • you could always write her a note to say thank you for everything she has done for you, she will see that you have recognised all her hard work and how much you appreciate it.

for my wedding, my MOH will do the majority, my other two bridesmaids will equally help with other smaller things. saying this, i will give them all a present that is 'equal', and a personal note to each saying thank you for how they have helped in the lead up to the big day.

  • Why do I always miss the OP?! It always gets deleted before I get to read it which by the way it rude! This could've very well been a question that someone else that may be lurkign might have! So That's OP for deleting your post before anyone else could read it and get any useful information from it.

Wow, calm down. Actually it's not rude. There's no way for me to completely delete the post after it has replies and I don't want it up on this site forever.

Actually, it IS rude. People took the time to read and reply only for you to delete it. And your question may have been useful to other people browsing the forum. If you "don't want it up on this site forever", don't post to begin with.
