No, I'm not following the current baby trend. We got a kitty! I told DH if he wants to keep travelling I need another roommate to keep me company. This is Morbo. Not the Futurama character, but short for Morbidly Obese. We'll be working on that. He's 6, and he's a cuddler.

He's from the Humane Society. He was the first one we looked at, and DH fell in love.

He's doing surprisingly well. He still likes small spaces like his cage at the shelter, so he tends to crawl behind the couch or under the bed for naps. But he comes out to cuddle and (to my dismay) knead my belly. He gets along very well with our chinchilla. He also cooperates with brushing. I suspect he jumps on the kitchen counter at night, because things seem get rearranged while I'm in bed, so I need to figure out what to do there.

Aww my Mom's cat Max would knead my belly when he was a kitty!  It was so sweet   Congrats on the new addition!  Cats are such wonderful pets.

Has he found out that it's highly entertaining to stare at the chinchilla? Demon will jump up next to Diamond's cage and just stare at her. Diamond could not care less and ignores her.

Morbo isn't very interested in Senor Bandito. We introduced them very cautiously, and anytime Senor would move, Morbo jumped. Senor is actually more comfortable with the cat than the other way around.
