Our friends are getting married before us and we are both in the wedding. We were out to dinner with them last weekend and they brought up how we shouldn't get each other presents because our weddings are so close and we would just be exchanging money.
My FI and I were fine with that, but when we started talking about it, we still want to get them something meaningful for their wedding (i.e. not just a check) and that would probably going to be the case all a long.
In the mean time, I was talking to the bride and she mentioned not being able to afford getting her make up done. So I have a few questions.
1. Would it be rude to still get them something for their wedding after agreeing to not giving each other anything?
2. Would it be a better idea for me to pay for her make up on her wedding day? Or is that over stepping the BM boundries?
Thanks!
