KPS

1) Your BFF needs to know about her boyfriend. He's obviously scum.

2) Your MOH is a biitch for saying you're a fatass. And I'd bet money you're hot.

3) Someone help me with this, but aren't there free counseling places out there for people who are depressed? You and your H really need to see someone. No one needs to live like that. PM me if you wanna chat. I've been there, done that, yada yada. ::hugs::

Re: KPS

  • Ditto to all of the above.

You bet your ass I'd want to know if H was in legal trouble and wasn't telling me.

  • If H was in legal trouble and didn't tell me, we would have major problems.  And if I found out that my BFF knew and didn't tell me, I would be really mad at her.

  • Ditto everything LDY said.

If the KPS person from #3 is reading this, look to your local colleges and universities.  There are clinical psychologists in training who will do low cost or free counseling to get their hours.  The trainees are probably pretty green, but just talking about issues with an impartial person is probably a good thing.
  • I have to agree with Beach. I would be more upset with FI for keeping it from me but I would also be upset if my BFF didn't tell me.
  • Ditto Beach and Dodgers.

And is the picture of the girl in the bathroom supposed to be an actual pic of the person who submitted it? Because that girl is the opposite of fatass. Not that that is even an acceptable thing to call anyone.
  • Am I the only one who checked the public records every time they started dating someone?

    AM I!?

I still do it with people I meet. IT'S IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

  • I confess to Googling people I've dated.  I also confess that I checked the public record of the person my sister is engaged to.
  • For the guy who didn't go to court, I would totally butt in and say something.
  • I'm just slipping this in here cause it doesn't deserve it's own thread. I'm pretty sure MrsTayPrince is real now, cause she's over on the 1st Tri board. http://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/52294475.aspx
  • Yeah, NOT okay that he's not telling her about legal trouble.  She needs to know!

Fishy, I never checked the public records, but I always did a google search to see what came up that way :).
  • Ah, hell no. I was all up in the supreme court website, boy. And google. And facebook.

I really didn't want to get murdered in an alley. :)

I didn't in the past, but that changed after a friend of mine set me up with a registered sex offender. True story.
  • I must be trusting. I usually don't even google people.

My FI's weirdo half-brother that he talks to maybe once a year did run a background check on FI and decided to tell him the results at their other brother's wedding. That was random.

Did your friend know he was one?
  • cengle whaaaaat? was it like a public urination charge? or something more serious?
  • Yeah man.  If someone knew, but didn't tell me that Allen was doing some shady shiit like that, I would be MORE mad at them than him.
  • Yeah, Cengle for real. I'm more mad at your friend than I was at LDY's dumbass boss yesterday.

Yup. It was a statutory rape charge. His story was that he met this girl at a bar, so he assumed she was 21, and she turned out to be 15. She believed him, because they were friends. Although, she didn't share this information until AFTER I'd gone on a date with the guy. He pled guilty, took a relatively lenient plea deal.

But I did look him up. The girl was actually 13, so I'm thinking he's a lying liar pants about what really happened. I didn't see him anymore.

<div>Long ago, I agreed to go out with a coworker.  Another coworker (one who never got along with anybody) kept trying to tell me not to do it.  After a few dates and a roll in the hay, I finally found out why CW #2 was discouraging me.</div><div>
</div><div>The dude has to register for the next 20 years.  I don't know what he did, and I don't want to know.  I think I took a day-long shower and ralphed a few times.  I also took a new job within a matter of weeks.</div><div>
</div><div>Since then, Google is my friend.</div>

  • That is just so wrong Cengle. I'm sorry that happen to you.
  • Are you still friends with this person? I probably would not be after that.
