Wedding party dates during photos

Our wedding party has several people that are coming from out of town with their spouses or significant others.  After the ceremony the wedding party will take a limo to a garden for pictures while the other guests head to the reception location for cocktail hour.  Should we bring the wedding party dates to pictures with us or just let them head to reception?  I'm concerned they will feel awkawrd not knowing anyone.

    I've always gone to the reception in these type of situations... 

    That said, I have always sat with my WP SO once he arrived at the reception.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Let their dates decide. Definitely give them the option though. This happened to me with FI's cousin... I had never met his very large, Lebanese family before. There wasn't a cocktail hour so we all had to sit there at our tables for an hour and a half while the WP was away taking pictures... I was seriously annoyed.

    I also think it would be a really nice gesture to let the WP members take a picture with their dates, and maybe print it out for them.

    Just let the WP know that the bar will be open with appetizers so that their dates don't get bored during the pictures.  That is what C and I have done when the other one has been in the WP.
