How do you handle it if a friend is single and your only inviting her (no plus one) but she says I want "john" to come I'll pay for his plate.  I don't know John plus her and John aren't even a couple!!!

II would tell her that you only want yours and your fiance's friends and family. Tell her that you understand that things can be a little unconfortable to be there alone but numbers are tight and there isnt room for extra guest.

Please don't say any of that.  If you're not giving the rest of your single guests plus ones, just tell that you're sorry but the invitation was just for her.

Why does she want to bring someone else?  Is this just a friend or do you think they are actually dating?  If they are dating, then John should be invited.  If not, then it's up to you.  If she's travleling a long distance and would otherwise have to travel by herself, then it would be really nice for you to allow her to bring a guest.
