FSIL Thank You Card

My FSIL is throwing my bridal shower for me.  She is also going to be my DOC.  Question is, should i send her a thank you card/gift after the shower and another after the wedding?  Or just give her one really nice gift after it is all said and done? I want to show my appreciation as much as I can!

This seems like a no-brainer.  If you want to thank her as much as possible, send her 2 thank yous!  She won't mind

ziti- she is not getting paid she offered to help because she loves this type of stuff.  I asked the FI about making her a bridesmaid and he said absolutely not, he thought it would be rude to have her in the wedding and not have his actual sisters in it.  I want to give her a gift as a thank you for all that she is doing for me, I just wasn't sure if it was appropriate to give her a small gift after the shower and another after the wedding is done or wait and get her one nicer gift. I'm going to give her two cards no matter what.
