Good morning!

We're halfway through the week!

Re: Happy Hump Day!

  • Good Morning! I'm playing the waiting game today and tomorrow and will be on pins & needles until I find out if I got the job or not. Ugh!
  • I'm more than halfway through the week because Thursday my boss is taking me to lunch, and that afternoon I plan on working at little as possible, then on Friday I took off.  So close to being done doing my coworkers job!!!

Sco - How did the interview go?

  • Good morning all!  I'm tired this morning, stayed up late hanging out with my best friend and then my H woke me up at 1am when he came in.  Late night at my house last night!

I think it went really well, aMrs! J knows a guy who works for the company. His friend called the guy who interviewed me (they go back 12+ years) and the interviewer only had really nice things to say, apparently. He said he wants me for the job, but it's ultimately up to HR at this point. I should know by tomorrow.

Sweet! :) Enjoy your short week and long weekend!
  • Good morning everyone.  I had to be at work at 6:30 today.  YUCK.  I have to leave early tonight because TJ has to coach a soccer game.  I didn't plan very well and didn't bring a change of clothes, so I'll be chasing Jocelyn around a soccer field in heels and dress pants in 81 degree weather.  Awsomeness!  DANG IT, and I just remembered T cleaned out the trunk last night to put the lawn mower in it, which means no chair either.

    Good morning!

I think it's supposed to be in the 90s or something here today? Crazy unseasonable weather. But as long as there's not 3 feet of filthy snow on the ground I'm OK with it.

Good luck on the job, Sco!!!
  • Morning!  It is my last full day of work until I'll be a Mrs!  a LOT of small detail stuff to take care of before Saturday!
It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

  • Stack, I would be swinging by targetand getting myself another lawn chair.

Sco, how exciting that you will know something so quickly.

Boo to the week being half over. I am thoroughly enjoying the week off. Strted to rip up the carpet in the laundry room yesterday in hopes of finding the leak in the foundation. No such luck. We think it might be under the stair landing, in which case that is a job too big to handle myself. Bummer!
  • Thanks, ladies!

ac, yeah, it's going to be up in the 90s. I didn't want to use the a/c in April but today might be an exception.
  • Good luck sco!

And morning all! I've got a raging sunburn, but I'm happy. FI and I went over to Ocean City with our moms yesterday (they drove down from central Jersey together to meet us) and we booked our reception site! I actually gave a vendor money to hold the date of my wedding! I'm actually having a wedding! So I'm excited. Even if I look like a tomato.

Today I have a bunch of crap to do at school, but FI is going to come to the gym with me and then hang out while I do stuff. I'm making him come to a symposium at school tonight so I can show him to my friends and prove that I have a real fiance and not an imaginary one. Fun times.

I know.  I'm hoping MIL will have one I can borrow when I pick up lil stack.  I usually keep an outdoor blanket and chair in the trunk just for days like this so I never forget.  It literally just got pulled out last night.

Sorry about the foundation leak.  That's crappy.  Our gutters are falling in our backyard (I'm pretty sure them resting on the cable wire is the one reason they're still up there) and I'm SO glad we don't own this house.  They keep trying to sell it to us and we keep telling them it's a crap hole with pretty furnishings.  I cannot wait to move this summer.
  • LTB - TJ turned on the A/C last night too - I was so glad, but wasn't going to be the one to suggest it.

Sarah#'s - Congrats on booking the reception site, and showing off FI tonight.  How incredibly exciting!

Bonjour everybody. Its painful for me to be up this early but I have to be. I have an interview at 11, so I suppose I have to make myself more presentable than my regular ratty hair and yoga pants dont i?

Thanks :) Im not overly excited about this job (office work at a plumbing office...) BUT its better than being on unemployment im sure. I have a 2nd interview at a place on Friday, which I REALLY want. I really really want it. So we will see :)
  • Good thing - we booked our honeymoon last night, yay! :)
Bad thing - FI hit some big piece of metal merging onto the highway this morning to pick his dad up for eye surgery and now has a quarter sized hole in his tire and a bent rim.  There's a couple hundred dollars we don't have :-\

Ah, good times.  And work is making me want to punch someone in the mouth already and it's only 9am.

    Yay, Sarah, that's exciting! :)

    Good luck Sco and Nebb!

  • Yes, Nebbulous, you have to show up in something nicer than yoga pants. GL!

And yay to 16 hours sleep and booking a reception venue! Woot!

Thanks :) I personally think yoga pants flatter my butt and make me look thinner, does that not stand for anything??

I need to find some kind of job that allows me to wear yoga pants and hoodies everyday... other than yoga instructor.

  • Good luck Nebb and Sco!

I don't mind the heat we're having but I'm nervous that if this is what April is like what is July going to be?  This is as hot as it ever gets in Michigan.  I might die.  Maybe.

That sucks about the bent rim.  :(  T bent the rim on my car and we actually just got a perfectly good one at a junk yard for $25, and then replaced the tire with a new one.  It saved a bunch of money that way.
