*** sun***

How is Chomp doing today?

I have been wondering all day how your baby was. I hope they were able to get his fever down more, and he kept improving.

  • Heya Mags,

Thanks for asking- he is apparently doing well! The vet called me earlier this morning (well- returned my two calls... I was rather impatient!) and said he's doing well. His fever is down and he seems to be in good spirits, apparently. They've run some bloods, and once those come back this afternoon provided all is well, we can bring him home. Such a relief- fingers crossed it works out that way. I should find out soon as the bloods were due back in this afternoon (it's currently 2:30pm).

  • I kew it was daytime by you, but had no idea what the actual time was.

That sounds like good news, I am glad he is doing much better. Fingers crossed that you get to bring him back home today.

  • Thanks. I am hopeful- but I'll let you know. I should hear soon.

Well, we got him home, but he still seems unwell... Nick and I are really concerned.

He's still a little feverish (and was during the day at the vets apparently, but it went back down before we picked him up- since we got home, he nose and ears have got pink again indicating fever), and hyperventilating. We are keeping a close eye on him but I am really very worried.

I hope my worry turns out to be over nothing.

  • What did the blood tests show, if anything?  did they give you anything to help control the fever while you're at home?

  • Poor kitty.  That all sounds so distressing.  I hope the vet can figure out what is wrong soon.
