My life sucks because....

Feel the need to just scream it all out?  Cause I really do.  List all the reasons why your life is annoying/sucky/stressful here.

- My life is stressful because of my mother. I love the woman to death, and I am very greatful for everything she has done for me, BUT, she is verging on crazy, and I really cannot handle her mood swings lately. Mostly they are directed at someone other than me, but she stills calls me all the time to act nutso on the phone.

Oh, and she wants us to move back to my hometown after the wedding. Sorry mom, not happening.

This is what I get for being her only child.

- Dad's dying and being a douche about it while he goes, making my older sister "choose" between knowing about his treatments and talking to our mom
- Younger sister refuses to speak to me because I've chosen not to have any sort of reunion with douchey dad
- BFF admitted to having a relationship with a married man today, and when I told her that was classless and she needed to have some pride, she got angry and stopped talking to me.
- We're moving in 2 weeks, and have no place to live
- H had to go to Sweden today
- I'm insanely jetlagged
- Our house is worth exactly what H paid for it 7 years ago.  Except now, he's put $20k of improvements in it.  Bummer.  No selling the house.

...I owe a whole lot more on my house than the appraiser says it is worth. I did _everything_ right (putting 20% down, paying more than my mortgage payment), yet I can't refinance at a lower rate because my house has lost equity. Fuuckers.

I've had a stomach flu since Tuesday. I missed 2 days of work, which might be unpaid because I don't think I have enough accrued time off to cover them. I was also out for two days last week due to an out-of-town conference.

Unlike a normal stomach flu that lasts for 24 hours, I still feel miserable. Less miserable than Tuesday but almost as miserable as yesterday. I dragged myself into work because I want to get paid, and if I'm out 3 days+ I need a dr's note. I've eaten almost nothing but bananas and oatmeal for 3 days. Drinking anything other than tea makes me feel nauseated. This virus has also aggravated a cold sore and this scab I get under my nose when I have a cold. It's the weirdest virus I've ever had.

And I have to meet with my personal trainer tonight because if I don't cancel 24 hours in advance I still get charged. I didn't cancel because I thought I'd feel better by now.

My allergies are a nightmare right now.  Apparently we're getting some sort of double pollen attack and I'm a drippy mess.

I just don't want to talk to my mother anymore, especially about the wedding.  One of her friends told her she was a momzilla, and I was secretly cheering her on in my head even though my mom assumed I was on her butthurt side.

I have a half marathon on Saturday and my leg hurts.

Buuut I'll be in Vegas and Napa next week.  So life could be a lot worse.

Oh and we have to pay for half of our reception on Saturday, which is the single biggest wedding expense so far. Those kind of bills always hurt.

I have complete lack of motivation to finish this semester at all, and I feel like all of  my work is creeping up on me.  I hate getting out of bed in the morning and sometimes it feels so daunting, I'm worried I might actually be depressed.  But, everytime I think I can just wait for it to be summer and then relax, I remember FI will be leaving and I'll be alone.

Also, I really think I hate our wedding.  I know the day of, I won't care, but it is making planning suck ass.  The most recent upset was my dad verbally inviting my SIL's parents, whom I don't like, because they bad mouthed my dad behind his back and I found out about it.  So, I had to explain to my dad that they were most likely not going to be invited due to budget reasons, which is always shitty because you never know what will trigger a reaction in him (PTSD).

Bleh. I need to start working out or something.

I'm losing my house.

I mentioned this in another "sound off" type of thread but -- apparently -- the cement paste the builder used isn't up to code for the level of sulfates in the soil.  My foundation is literally crumbling away!  According to a geotech engineer, the house will be unlivable in 7-10 years.  I've retained a construction defect attorney, but his optimistic estimate (sigh) is a $5K - $7K settlement in two years time.  Meanwhile, it will take between $20K and $30K to seal the foundation, which won't repair the damage but will slow -- slow, not stop -- future deterioration.  I owe $190K on a house that was worth $70K after the market crash and is worthless now (because I can't sell it with permanent and irreversible foundation damage). 

A lawyer, a CPA and financial advisor (the latter is my FFIL) have all told me to walk away, which I really don't want to do, in part because I've never walked away from an obligation, and in part because I work in the credit industry and a foreclosure will make it really hard for me to find work in the event that anything happens to my current job.

So, the way I see it?  I'm well and truly fucked.

my capstone is due in 5 weeks, along with huge projects for all my other studios.

The wedding is also in 5 weeks. So much to do still.

Fi is 3000 miles away, and can't really talk all day. The 3 hour time difference makes it hard to ever get a good conversation in during the day because I'm usually in class until 7:30pm and he goes to bed pretty early.

My family hates eachother and I keep getting emails from my mother saying that she has to be as far away as possible from my ex step father at the wedding. And graduation. And rehearsal dinner. And delivery room when I have kids in ten years.

My life is stressful because I'm stuck in a dead-end, part-time job even though I have a Master's degree. I'm in healthcare, and the local university health network cut nearly $20-million a couple of months ago, and yep, there went my prospects. I've been hunting in cities around me, but am competing with all the other people who've lost their jobs in the budget cuts, and since I'm basically entry-level, I can't compete. It's shitty.

There's a whacked-out version of a norovirus going around right now. My aunt was exactly like you, and at day 5 gave up and went to the hospital because she just felt <em>so bad. </em>The puking and whatever had stopped, but she broke out in coldsores and had weird body pains and stuff. This infectious disease specialist said it's one of the worst seasons for this he's ever seen. Hope you feel better soon!

Well my whines sound like nothing compared to you guys.

My life sucks because I've finally found a job I want to do as a career and the position is being eliminated, so as of June 21st I have no job. This means I will probably have to get back into retail and more likely find a management position which completely fuucks my plans for kids.
Oh, and my dad and my boss are also getting their positions downsized, so if they can't get a transfer back into the classroom they will both loose their jobs, and are the sole providers for their families, so double fuucked.
If I hope really really hard will a private benefactor please donate the missing 25.4 million dollars my county needs to avoid massive layoffs?

My life also sucks because it's still really fuucking hot in my apt and I don't know how much longer my animals can make it. The chinchilla is starting to feel the heat and I'm terrified of her getting heat stroke... and I've started soaking the dog to cool her off. Please please please thunderstorm come quickly and bring the 50 degree weather with you.

My family and friends live 1300 miles away and won't get to see my baby until who knows when.

I still have no idea where we will be living next year and if I'll be able to get a job, or if I'll be able to stay home.

I would assume the inspection would remove the builder from all liability, unless there was a warrenty for X amount of years.

That's exactly what I want to know!  The attorney has been horrible about returning calls so this is pure speculation on my part, but I think it has to do with the fact that the builder filed for bankruptcy in 2008.  The only recourse left is through the insurer, who will only reimburse existing damage -- not inevitable damage.

I guess I assumed that there isn't any legal recourse for something like that since shouldn't those things be picked up on when the house is purchased?  And what if it was built many years ago - who would be responsbile for reimbursing the costs then?

I fully admit I have no idea about the backstory, though, just what she wrote here.
