I hate small talk. I also hate that there's no way to avoid small talk without being rude. Between my officemate's constant blabbering about celebrity gossip and football scores to the guy across the hall who just stuck his nose in my office to say that my lunch smelled good and I must have "raided all the restaurants in the area", which, btw- what? It's one plate of food. Are you insinuating that if it smells good I must be pigging out? STFU and go away.
