I thought you would appreciate this.

I alluded to this briefly in another thread: After having the same stable of demons for FOUR YEARS, all of mine suddenly and spontaneously name changed.  Zigmat became Pippep.  Thulmoth became Tangtast.  Hesva became Angeth.  And I don't even want to know what my Felguard would be if I respecced demo. 

Given the rather distressing circumstances, I did what any self respecting warlock would do:  I opened the GM ticket.

P.S. Please ignore my abysmally low DPS on 10-man Anub'arak.  My 'lock has been relegated to alt status.  She's fantastically undergeared (Naxx trinket, wut?) and I was shooting down ice for all of Phase 1 because no one else would.

I was kinda sad when I realized Zigmat was gone forever (*sniff*), but the GM response was so full of awesome it (almost!) made up for it.

That is amazing.  You should see if you can send a complimentary review of the GM who responded to you to someone at Blizzard.  Service like that should be encouraged, : )

This is amazing. I love awesome GMs with a sense of humor. I had a nice chat with a similar one after our first heroic 25 Beasts kill back in the day (our resto shammy ankh'd and managed to get off one lightning bolt before he despawned after killing us all, and got the killing blow after he was dead. It was amazing, but then they respawned after we had looted them, lol). I wish I had screenshots.

On a related note, my imp's name is Gelmir, and I would cry bottles if something happened to it. I could do without my succy's Angola though.

And oooone last thing: What UI do you use? I've been using ChertiUi (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info14306-ChertiUIv2.09aPriestWarlockandWarriorInterfaceCompilation-1680x1050.html) for forever, but I like the look of that one.

That's hilarious!

One of my WoW blogging friends tells an equally awesome story.  Apparently, on his Alliance guild's first attempt at Flame Leviathan (back on Ulduar release day, when the servers were all wonky...), his siege engine <em>fell through the world</em> and landed in a Horde guild's active Naxxramas raid.  He says he ganked the Horde guild's MT with lightning and caused a Thaddius wipe, LOL.  I have no idea if the story is true (it sounds a little too fantastic, but you never know), but it still cracks me up to think about.

And the UI is TukUI (<a href="http://www.tukui.org/">http://www.tukui.org</a>), with a few customizations.  It's an awesome UI but there's no graphical interface; you have to edit it through the .lua (although the config.lua file is heavily annotated, so it's not as hard as it sounds).

I like it. I would have no clue how to edit it, but luckily we have a programmer in the guild, I'd probably get him to twiddle it if I needed to. I love addons. Addons addons addons.
